Sri Lanka, Nov. 5 -- A public consultation on the proposed electricity tariff revision for the fourth quarter of 2026 is scheduled to be held today.

The Public Utilities Commission announced yesterday that the National System Operator has requested a 2.88 percent tariff increase for the fourth quarter. However, considering the prevailing circumstances, the Commission said a revision of only 1.46 percent could be granted.

The final decision is expected to be announced following today's public consultation.

The National System Operator had submitted its electricity tariff review proposal for the October-to-December period to the Public Utilities Commission.
