Sri Lanka, June 18 -- The Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court has issued an order to seize a two-storey house and land located in the Katuwala area for a period of seven days, after it was revealed that the property had been purchased using money earned through illegal drug trafficking.

The order was issued after the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) presented facts before the court.

The investigation was launched following information received by the Police Narcotics Bureau, which stated that a woman residing in Peliyagoda had earned illegal assets through drug trafficking activities.
