Sri Lanka, Aug. 9 -- Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) imposed a fine of 520,000 rupees on a private hospital in Kegalle for using expired chemicals and equipment, and charging excess fees for blood tests.

The Consumer Affairs Authority mentioned that an amount of 500 rupees was charged for a blood test, exceeding the controlled price of 400 rupees set for it.

The CAA team has discovered expired chemicals stored in the hospital premises.
