Sri Lanka, Oct. 10 -- A private luxury bus driver operating on route number 120 from Horana to Colombo was arrested by Piliyandala Police for intentionally crashing into a metro bus in the Miriswatta area along the Kesbewa-Colombo road.

The private bus followed the metro bus travelling from Kahatuduwa to Colombo from behind, flashing high beams and sounding the horn continuously from the Kesbewa junction.

The driver overtook the metro bus in Miriswatta and steered into its front right side, causing the right-side mirror and lower window panel to shatter, with damages estimated at Rs. 342,000.

The 44-year-old suspect driver is scheduled to be produced before the Kesbewa Magistrate's Court, while Piliyandala Police conduct further invest...
