Sri Lanka, April 3 -- The workload of prison officers has doubled or tripled as the process of pursuing, arresting, and producing criminals before courts has accelerated, emphasizes Health and Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa.

In line with World Oral Health Day, which fell on March 20, the Ministry of Health and Media took steps to implement a island-wide national oral health screening and mobile dental service programme for prison officers and selected inmates.
