Sri Lanka, Sept. 24 -- Educational authorities state that the power to decide whether schools will open or remain closed tomorrow (25) due to the severe adverse weather conditions prevailing in the Nuwara Eliya district has been delegated to school principals.

Nuwara Eliya Zonal Director of Education D. M. S. B. Dissanayake states that six schools managed under the Nuwara Eliya Zonal Education Office have taken steps to grant leave tomorrow (25) amidst the severe adverse weather conditions prevailing in certain areas of the Nuwara Eliya district.
