Sri Lanka, Oct. 12 -- Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya departed from the island last night (11 October) to attend the 'Global Leaders' Meeting on Women 2025' in Beijing, China.

The Prime Minister is visiting at the invitation of the People's Republic of China and is scheduled to remain in the country from today until October 15.

In addition to attending the international women's summit, the Prime Minister is expected to hold discussions with several high-level diplomatic officials of the Chinese Republic during her visit.
