Sri Lanka, Sept. 20 -- The initial phase of a programme organised by the President's Fund to distribute free spectacles and hearing aids to university students was held yesterday (19) at the Rajarata University premises.

Free eye examinations and the distribution of required lenses were conducted for students throughout the day. Implemented with the support of the private sector, spectacle frames donated to the President's Fund are scheduled to be provided free of charge to school children, university students, technical college students, and low-income citizens.
