Sri Lanka, Sept. 19 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake today officially opened the National Cyber Security Operations Centre in Colombo.
Speaking at the event, the President said that making the "dilapidated" state machinery more efficient is a key priority for the government.
He added that digitisation has been identified as a core strategy for nation-building.
The new centre, which will provide 24-hour cyber security monitoring and response facilities, is implemented by the Sri Lanka CERT (Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team).
