Sri Lanka, Aug. 22 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has appointed six new ambassadors and one high commissioner. During a discussion with the seven newly appointed heads of Sri Lankan missions at the Presidential Secretariat today (22), the President stated that it is the responsibility of an ambassador to uphold Sri Lanka's image in the international arena.
The Presidential Media Division reports that the President congratulated the new appointees and instructed them to provide fair and non-discriminatory service to Sri Lankans living abroad.
