Sri Lanka, Dec. 5 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake announced that a monthly allowance of Rs. 25,000 will be granted to individuals who lost their homes due to the disaster and cannot stay in relief camps, enabling them to move to a rented house.Quality properties for rent

The President made this statement during a special address to the Parliament session held today.

He added that this allowance will be provided for a period of three months, with provisions available to extend the payment up to six months if necessary.
