Sri Lanka, Sept. 29 -- The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption informed Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama today (29) that preliminary investigations into the disproportionate asset case involving Neville Wanniarachchi, the former Chief Security Officer to former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, have concluded.

The update was presented when the case was taken up before the court today.

Wanniarachchi, who is currently out on bail, appeared in court.

The Bribery Commission had previously initiated legal action against Wanniarachchi over the alleged illegal accumulation of assets and property valued at Rs. 28 million. He was arrested on October 2, 2025, after reporting to the Commission to give a statemen...
