Sri Lanka, Sept. 19 -- Former Sri Lanka Cricket Selection Committee Chairman Pramodya Wickramasinghe has instituted legal action before the Commercial High Court of Colombo, seeking 75 million rupees in compensation following the alleged unfair and improper termination of his appointment.

Wickramasinghe, who was appointed on December 17, 2025 with the approval of the Minister of Sports, maintains that his two-year appointment was prematurely terminated by the Cricket Transformation or Interim Committee without prior notice, sufficient justification, or following due process.
