Sri Lanka, May 12 -- Strict legal action will be taken against vehicles fitted with dangerous parts and various illegal modifications.

Police observed through the analysis of recent road mishaps that modified buses operating without proper fitness certificates lead to such incidents.

These violations include irregular modifications, extra accessories, alterations to appearance, and dangerous fittings.

The police also request the public to forward information regarding vehicles emitting black smoke on the road to the WhatsApp number 070 350 0525.
