Sri Lanka, Nov. 7 -- Police have initiated an investigation following complaints over potentially dangerous construction work near Sudarshana Mawatha in Nawala, which residents allege has caused structural damage to neighbouring houses and properties.

Residents have raised concerns that ongoing construction activities on an adjoining property have affected nearby buildings, prompting fears about their structural integrity and the safety of occupants.

In a written complaint lodged with the National Building Research Institute (NBRI), affected property owners warned that the construction work could increase the risk of neighbouring buildings collapsing, potentially endangering lives and causing further property damage.
