Sri Lanka, Sept. 20 -- Police in Kalavanchikudy have launched an investigation after a woman was found dead in her home in the Kottaikallar area yesterday evening, September 19.

The deceased, a 57-year-old resident of the same area, was reportedly living alone.

The body has been moved to the Batticaloa Hospital mortuary.

Police are treating the death as suspicious and are conducting further inquiries to determine the exact cause.
