Sri Lanka, Aug. 7 -- Police fired tear gas to control the ongoing protest by inmates at the Negombo Dalupotha prison.

The Police, Police Special Task Force, riot control unit, and the Air Force were deployed to control the situation, Hiru correspondent reported.
