Sri Lanka, Feb. 19 -- Four suspects were apprehended, and a massive stock of illicit liquor was seized during a series of raids conducted by the Police and the Special Task Force (STF) to curb illegal operations across several areas.

A large-scale distillery operating behind a row of rented shops in Batuvandara, Kesbewa, was raided by the Kesbewa Police. Officers confiscated illegal spirits, goda, and distilling equipment valued at approximately one million rupees. The seized items included 10 barrels containing 20,000 ml of goda each, 60 litres of liquor spirits, gas cylinders, large copper coils, and gas stoves.
