Sri Lanka, July 17 -- A Police Constable was interdicted today (17) following accusations of attempting to sit on the lap of a Woman Police Constable at the Makalugaswewa Police Station and being intoxicated during duty hours.

The interdicted PC was deployed for duty at a musical show held at the Dambulla Gam Udawa stadium on July 15, and arrived back at the Makalugaswewa Police Station to report for duty after completing the deployment.

The suspect officer spotted a WPC sitting on a chair at the police station, approached her, and attempted to sit on her lap.

Deeply inconvenienced by this inappropriate behaviour, the female police officer took immediate action to officially complain regarding the matter to the Assistant Superintendent...
