Sri Lanka, Sept. 22 -- A delegation comprising ruling party and opposition Members of Parliament is scheduled to travel to Saudi Arabia to discuss the case of Anujan Sivarasa, a Sri Lankan sentenced to death over a social media post.

Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Minister Vijitha Herath stated this in Parliament today (22).

The delegation is prepared to visit the King of Saudi Arabia to hand over a letter containing a special request from President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the Minister mentioned.

The parliamentary delegation will be led by Deputy Speaker Dr. Rizvie Salih, the Minister said.
