Sri Lanka, Sept. 23 -- The debate on the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution Bill will be held in Parliament tomorrow (24) and the day after (25).

Following the debate, a vote will be taken, requiring a two-thirds majority to pass the bill in accordance with the Supreme Court's determination.

Meanwhile, a protest organized by Samagi Jana Balawegaya opposing the 22nd Constitutional Amendment is scheduled to be held tomorrow at the Polduwa Junction. Several opposition factions have already announced their participation, and the joint opposition is set to reach a final decision following a meeting chaired by former Minister Professor G.L. Peiris today.
