Sri Lanka, April 30 -- A debate requested by the opposition regarding the transfer of $ 2.5 million from the General Treasury to another account will take place during the next parliamentary week.

Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne announced that the Leader of the House agreed to this schedule following constraints with the current timetable.

The Speaker noted that the present week remains exceptionally busy for Parliament, with several bills awaiting passage and a scheduled address by the Vietnamese President on the 8th.
