Sri Lanka, Sept. 23 -- Property worth over Rs. 40 million belonging to a man and his wife in the Padavi Parakramapura area of Anuradhapura was frozen for a period of 14 days.

This action was taken by the Illegal Assets Investigation Division on suspicion that the property was acquired using money earned from drug trafficking, police said.

The property belongs to a 47-year-old man and his 45-year-old wife, police added.
