Sri Lanka, Sept. 21 -- An alleged organised crime figure and drug trafficker known as 'Potta Amila' has been arrested along with three of his close associates.
Moragahahena Police arrested the group this afternoon, September 21, based on a tip-off.
Allegedly, police seized 5,300 drug pills and 15 grams of 'Ice' or methamphetamine from the suspects, with a street value of nearly Rs.1 million.
Three mobile phones allegedly used in the trafficking operation were also taken into custody.
The police operation began when an associate of Potta Amila was arrested in the Gonapola Kumbukawatta area.
Following a lengthy interrogation, police said he revealed that Potta Amila had given him the drugs.
