Sri Lanka, Aug. 20 -- An urgent meeting of opposition party leaders and representatives is scheduled to take place today (20) at noon at the Opposition Leader's office in Parliament.

The meeting will be chaired by Chief Opposition Whip Gayantha Karunatilaka.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the no-confidence motion that has been presented against Deputy Minister of Defence Aruna Jayasekara.

According to internal sources, the leaders will conduct a detailed discussion on the issues that have been raised, the government's response, and matters to be discussed at the party leaders' meeting tomorrow (21).
