Sri Lanka, Jan. 20 -- Black bands and protest signs were displayed by opposition members of the Homagama Pradeshiya Sabha today during a demonstration against education reforms, same-sex marriage laws, and alleged government actions targeting Buddhism.
The protest began near the Homagama market premises before the group marched to the council chamber for the monthly general meeting. Once inside the chamber, representatives continued their demonstration by holding up protest placards before concluding the session.
