Sri Lanka, Aug. 23 -- A special discussion is currently underway in Colombo, with key opposition political leaders and party representatives in attendance.

The meeting began at around midday at a political party office on Flower Road.

Leaders and representatives from the United National Party, Samagi Jana Balawegaya, Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, Sri Lanka Freedom Party, and the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress, along with several other parliamentarians, have reportedly joined the discussion.

It is understood that the primary objective of the meeting is to discuss the situation concerning former President Ranil Wickremesinghe, who is currently in remand custody, and to decide on future political actions.
