Sri Lanka, July 15 -- Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena today (15) ordered to issue an open warrant for Priyanka Nayomali Wijenayaka, wife of former SriLankan Airlines Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kapila Chandrasena, in connection with an ongoing investigation into the Airbus transaction.

The court issued this order following submissions made by the investigative officer who appeared in court on behalf of the Criminal Investigation Department when the case related to the incident was called.

The Magistrate ordered this after considering a request made by the Criminal Investigation Department to issue an open warrant in the English language, as a day warrant was already issued for the second suspect, Priyanka Nayomali.
