Sri Lanka, Nov. 1 -- A one-year-and-four-month-old girl died yesterday (31) after falling into a fish tank outside a house in the Kottanthivu area, within the Udappuwa Police Division.

Police said the child was taken to Kottanthivu Hospital following the incident but later died.

The deceased was a resident of Periyapaduwa in Kottanthivu.

Her body is currently kept at the Puttalam Hospital mortuary, while Udappuwa Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
