Sri Lanka, Sept. 23 -- One person has died and two others have been injured following a fire at the Soysapura housing scheme in Moratuwa, according to the Mount Lavinia Police.

The fire broke out at approximately 7:00 this evening. Three injured individuals were rushed to the hospital, where one person in critical condition succumbed to their injuries.

The Moratuwa Fire Unit is currently working at the scene to bring the fire under control.
