Sri Lanka, Aug. 17 -- A young man from Nuwara Eliya has been admitted to the Nuwara Eliya District General Hospital after becoming severely intoxicated.

The individual had mixed two Madana Modaka pills with other substances to create a drink, according to Nuwara Eliya Police.

The 18-year-old, a resident of Nuwara Eliya, reportedly made the drink after watching a video on social media.

After consuming it, he became heavily intoxicated and was taken to the hospital by his parents.

Police are warning young people against attempting such actions, stating that it is dangerous to watch and replicate such videos from social media platforms.
