Sri Lanka, Sept. 16 -- Nuwara Eliya District Parliament members Manjula Surawira Arachchi and Krishnan Kalaiselvi conducted an inspection of the Hatton Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) depot today (16).

During their visit, the Members of Parliament met with the depot's employees and discussed various issues.

The employees complained about management shortcomings and a lack of spare parts for damaged buses, which has hindered the proper operation of the fleet.

It was revealed that 14 buses are currently out of service due to damage.

The limited number of operational buses has led to difficulties for commuters and schoolchildren.

The MPs have promised to address the identified issues and find solutions.
