Sri Lanka, Sept. 8 -- Sri Lanka Police have reminded motorists that digital motor insurance cards are valid proof of vehicle coverage, removing the requirement to carry physical insurance certificates.

Motorists can present digital cards on mobile devices when requested by police or authorised officials. Details can be verified through the National Insurance Verification System by scanning the card's QR code, while drivers can check policy status using the USSD codes *1338# with policy details or *1918# with the policy number.
