Sri Lanka, Feb. 16 -- A 19-year-old resident of the Mirawatta area in Welimada died after a motorcycle and a three-wheeler collided on the New Kandy Road near Siyambalape junction, according to Biyagama Police.

The incident occurred yesterday (15) while the three-wheeler was traveling toward Bandarawatta. Police report that the three-wheeler attempted to turn into a filling station near the junction when it collided with an oncoming motorcycle. Three individuals were traveling on the motorcycle at the time; the youth on the rear seat was thrown from the vehicle and sustained critical head injuries upon impacting the road.
