Sri Lanka, Oct. 5 -- A new subject on entrepreneurship and financial literacy will be introduced in Grade 6 starting from the year 2027, Prime Minister Dr Harini Amarasuriya stated.

The Prime Minister made these remarks while participating in a bell-ringing ceremony held to promote financial literacy.

Under the new curriculum revision, steps will be taken to impart knowledge on entrepreneurship and financial literacy from Grade 6 to Grade 9, she said.

As the first phase, this subject is scheduled to be introduced to all school children starting from Grade 6 in 2027, the Prime Minister mentioned.
