Sri Lanka, Aug. 26 -- Another step in the programme to establish an integrated mechanism among state institutions through regional coordination during emergencies in prisons has been launched, focusing on the Vavuniya and Jaffna prisons.

This initiative was inaugurated under the patronage of the Minister of Justice and National Integration, Attorney-at-Law Harshana Nanayakkara.

Under this programme, aimed at delivering prompt emergency responses and streamlining inmate welfare by creating an integrated regional framework among state entities-the establishment of the integrated mechanism centered around the Vavuniya Prison took place under the patronage of Minister Nanayakkara at the Vavuniya Prison this morning (26).
