Sri Lanka, July 30 -- Further details have emerged regarding the death of Yatinuwara Pradeshiya Sabha member Champika Nilantha by suicide, and the deaths of his wife and eldest daughter.
Post-mortem examinations have been conducted on the bodies, with an open verdict delivered.
Investigations are ongoing into a letter reportedly written by Champika Nilantha before his death.
Police stated that statements have been recorded from a businessman and a high-ranking police officer in Kandy, both mentioned in the letter.
The bodies of Champika Nilantha, his wife, and his eldest daughter are currently at their home.
