Namal rejects secret political agreements
Sri Lanka, July 29 -- Political alliances based on national interests remain welcome under the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, though secret political negotiations will be avoided, said SLPP Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa.
Open and transparent discussions form the basis of the party's approach to political matters rather than hidden dealings, as moving forward with the people requires accountability, he told the media.
National and public needs rather than individual interests will dictate the formation of any alliance.
Joining the party is open to anyone who aligns with its political ideology and programme, according to Rajapaksa.
