Sri Lanka, April 26 -- Member of Parliament Ramanathan Archchuna allegedly threatened two women with a firearm in the Periyavilan area of Jaffna.
A land dispute reportedly triggered the incident, with the MP claiming ownership of the land while another party also claims rights to it. A case regarding this matter remains ongoing in the Mallakam Court.
The confrontation occurred yesterday (25) when the MP went to clean the property. Two women arrived and engaged in an argument with him, claiming a portion of the land belonged to them. During the dispute, the MP reportedly brandished a pistol and threatened the unarmed women.
