Sri Lanka, July 31 -- The motorcycle used by the perpetrators in this morning's shooting incident in Kosgoda has been found.
The vehicle was discovered abandoned in the river near the Kosgoda Athuruwella Bridge, approximately 6 kilometres from the scene of the shooting.
Police investigations have confirmed that the victim, a 23-year-old man, is the son of an individual who operates a turtle conservation research centre in Duwemodara, Kosgoda.
According to the Kosgoda Police, two unknown youths on a motorcycle opened fire with a T-56 firearm around 5:15 AM today (31).
The deceased youth was at his home when the gunmen arrived and opened fire.
Police investigations have also confirmed that the deceased worked as a tourist guide.
