Sri Lanka, Sept. 5 -- The Maharagama Police have recovered the motorcycle suspected to have been used by the gunmen involved in the fatal shooting of a man in Boralesgamuwa last night.

The vehicle was found abandoned in a paddy field near the Digana Ancient Viharaya in Mahalwarawa, Pannipitiya.

According to the police, a team retrieved the motorcycle following information received by the Officer-in-Charge of the Community Policing Unit at the Maharagama Police Station.

The shooting occurred last night on Malani Bulathsinghala Mawatha in Boralesgamuwa, where two individuals arriving on a motorcycle opened fire inside a residence, resulting in the death of a 74-year-old local resident.
