Sri Lanka, Oct. 2 -- A court has ordered the police to defuse the 10 hand grenades found inside a school bag near a Municipal Council work site in the Aluth Mawatha area of Modara.
The police must then send the defused explosives to the Government Analyst to obtain a report.
The order was given yesterday after the police presented facts regarding the discovery to the court.
The cache of bombs was recovered by a special police team following information received by the Counter-Terrorism Division.
Police informed the court that they are currently examining CCTV footage to identify the suspects involved in the incident.
