Sri Lanka, Feb. 7 -- Ten mobile library vehicles were distributed to selected local government authorities in the Western Province this morning at the Presidential Secretariat.

This initiative falls under the 'Arunu Dora' national reading promotion program, which aligns with the 'Clean Sri Lanka' national campaign.

The first phase of the project included the delivery of 10 modern mobile libraries and 9,300 books to the Kesbewa and Seethawakapura Urban Councils, as well as the Homagama, Dompe, Attanagalla, Minuwangoda, Wattala, Bulathsinhala, Walallawita, and Palindanuwara Pradeshiya Sabhas.

The Western Province Department of Local Government implements the project using funds provided by the Clean Sri Lanka Secretariat.
