Sri Lanka, Oct. 28 -- A man tragically lost his life today (28) after falling into a flooded canal in the Godigamuwa area of Ratnapura.

The deceased has been identified by the police as Chathuranga Kasun Wanniarachchi, a resident of Mihindugama, Ratnapura.

The accident occurred at around 2:00 p.m. today.

According to the local reporter, CCTV footage from a nearby house captured the moment the victim fell into the water stream.
