Sri Lanka, March 11 -- A man died from severe injuries after falling from a private bus he boarded at the Massala Junction area on Galle Road in Beruwala. Beruwala Police state the incident occurred around midnight yesterday (10). The deceased is a 52-year-old father of two residing at Pansala Road, Beruwala.

The victim boarded a Matara-bound private bus from Colombo at Massala Junction and fell from the footboard after the bus travelled approximately 100 meters. Preliminary investigations reveal he left home after informing his family he was travelling to a relative's house in Matara.

Another passenger witnessed the fall and alerted the driver and conductor. Following the notification, the driver turned the bus around and surrendered ...
