Sri Lanka, Aug. 17 -- A man who was receiving treatment at the Gampaha Hospital has died following a fight at a restaurant in the Doonagaha-Godigamuwa area of Divulapitiya.

The deceased, a 42-year-old father of two, was a resident of the Iddagodella area.

The incident occurred yesterday (16) when the man went to the restaurant to inquire about an incident allegedly involving the restaurant owner and his wife.

The owner and two other individuals then assaulted him.

The man, who was injured in the attack, was admitted to Gampaha Hospital and later died this morning.

The restaurant owner and one other suspect have fled the area.
