Sri Lanka, Sept. 28 -- A person sustained severe injuries following a shooting incident reported a short while ago in the Panwila area of Rathgama, Galle.

Medical staff admitted the victim to the Galle National Hospital for urgent treatment.

Police stated that the attack erupted as a result of a clash between two rival underworld groups.

Investigating officers added that the assailants discharged six T-56 firearm rounds during the shooting.
