Sri Lanka, Aug. 28 -- Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa recently attended the launch of the book "Herding Frantic Cats" by Sirisena Amarasekara, a former secretary to a Prime Minister and diplomat.

In a post on his Facebook account, Rajapaksa said he was honored to attend the event, which was organized by the Association of Development Planners at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute.

Former President Maithripala Sirisena and other dignitaries were also present.

Rajapaksa praised the author, stating that the book draws on Amarasekara's five decades of experience in public service, offering insights and observations on the economic, social, political, and administrative processes in Sri Lanka over the last half-century.
