Sri Lanka, Oct. 15 -- The Maha Sangha has handed over a letter to the Secretary to the President requesting the release of Ven. Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera.

After accepting the letter, the Secretary to the President left the location, saying he would discuss the matter with the President and return, our correspondent said.
