Sri Lanka, Feb. 5 -- A 90-day detention order was renewed for the female lawyer suspected of aiding and abetting the Ganemulla Sanjeewa case, as informed by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama today (5).
The CID noted that the previous detention order, obtained on October 31 of last year, expired, necessitating the extension for further questioning.
Additionally, the Magistrate ordered that Inspector Udith Udayashantha of the Gampaha Police, who remains in remand custody in connection with this incident, be further remanded until February 19.
